I had an idea:
Fancy-phone app for protesters. It’s a map with 2 views: Submit & Browse. In submit, you have a small set of icons you can drag and drop on the map, including barricade, broken barricade, arrest, speech, meeting etc. In Browse, you see an aggregate of everything posted by people. The quantity and recency yields more opacity. Old and uncorroborated posts fade and disappear. This app responds to my conversations with peers trying to navigate the orange nets around times square this past weekend.
But Sukey beat me to it. There have a really strong idea of how a you would use this app to navigate trouble. On the other side, they gather text-based information. So I might still pursue a mockup of my gui for protester-submitted information.
